What does depth strider do? This is a very common question that I often receive when people ask about the best way to improve their game. First, let me introduce the Basics. In the next paragraphs, you will learn what does depth strider do.

Depth Strider (abbreviated as DS) is an enchanted object: that helps underwater players move faster underwater. There are three stages in the Depth Strider, and in every stage, the enchanted item decreases the current water level by one level. For instance, in level one, the enchanted item slows water down by a quarter; in level two, it decreases by a half, and in level three, it decreases by a full level. The enchantments are added in reverse order in the order in which the characters land on the bottom. In other words, when the character lands on the third stage, the water beneath them will be two levels deep.

How can this help you? Well, the most common strategy for playing underwater is for the characters to get to the highest level using only air travel or teleporting. Once at the highest level, the characters are slowed significantly due to the underwater traveling. Therefore, it is common for them to spend many hours simply zooming from point A to point B, then back to B to get to the highest level as fast as possible. However, this often begs the question, “What does depth strider do?”

After much testing: there was found to be only a single instance in which the use of the underwater movement speed enchantment allowed players to reach the highest level. This instance did not occur while using the teleporting method. The other method, which was used by several of the guardians, allowed players to reach the maximum level using only air travel. In both cases, the underwater movement speed enchantment greatly slowed players down.

To make matters even more complicated: there is also another type of enchantment in the game which slows players down when they are using a flying mount. This happens regardless of whether they are using a flying mount or not. This enchantment, known as the no-fly enchant, is activated when you turn your character into an air creature. This is a unique glitch that has been discovered and has been the cause of much confusion among WOW players. It is possible, however, to turn your character into an air creature while wearing the no-fly enchant, so this should not cause you any trouble.

The bottom line is that this particular enchantment is fun: but it does have its downsides. The no-fly enchantments, for example, can sometimes cause people to get banned from using the World of Warcraft services. If you keep these aspects in mind, however, it will be easy to understand why the developers have included a restriction for using this type of enchantment.

The depth strider, on the other hand, is considered a beneficial program for those who like to travel to different regions of the game in order to gain some gold.
